Why we chose Frankincense and Neroli
When life feels busy or overwhelming, it’s often the smallest moments that help us feel steady again. A deep breath. A warm cup of tea. A quiet ritual at the end of the day.
When I began creating Second Spring Glow, I knew I wanted it to feel like one of those moments — something comforting, grounding, and gentle enough to return to again and again.
That’s why I chose frankincense and neroli.
Frankincense — a sense of grounding
Frankincense has been used for centuries, often during moments of reflection and stillness. Its scent is warm, soft and grounding, and many people find it helps them feel calmer and more settled.
To me, frankincense feels like an anchor — something that gently brings you back into the present moment when your thoughts are racing or your body feels tense. It’s not loud or overpowering. It simply sits quietly alongside you.
Neroli — a gentle lift
Neroli is distilled from orange blossoms, and its scent is light, floral and softly uplifting. I’ve always loved how it feels comforting without being heavy, like a breath of fresh air on a warm day.
Neroli is often associated with easing stress and encouraging rest, and for me it brings a feeling of reassurance — a reminder that even in difficult seasons, there can still be softness.
Chosen with care, used with intention
Together, frankincense and neroli create a balance — grounding and light, calm and gentle. They were chosen not for trends or bold claims, but for how they make you feel.
Second Spring Glow Balmwas created during a time of change, when skin can feel unsettled and routines need softening. It’s an invitation to slow down, to warm a small amount between your fingers, and to take a moment just for yourself.
No pressure. No expectations. Just care.
If this balm becomes part of your evening ritual, or a small pause in your day, then it’s doing exactly what it was made to do — offering comfort, one quiet moment at a time
