When your mind feels heavy…

Some days just feel heavier than others.

You wake up and something doesn’t feel quite right. There’s no clear reason, nothing obvious to point to… but your body feels tense, your thoughts feel louder, and everything feels that little bit harder.

I had one of those days recently.

It started with anxiety, and before I knew it, it had turned into a full panic attack. The kind that completely takes over and leaves you feeling drained afterwards. It’s not something people always see, and it’s not something we always talk about either.

But I think it’s important that we do.

Because life isn’t always the calm, curated version we see online. There are quiet struggles, difficult mornings, and moments where we just need to pause and take things slowly.

For me, coming back to small, simple things really helps.

A quiet moment.

A warm bath.

Taking care of my skin.

Not as a task, but as a way of grounding myself again.

There’s something about slowing down, even just for a few minutes, that gently brings you back to yourself. No pressure, no expectations… just a moment to breathe and reset.

And that’s really what wellbeing means to me.

Not doing everything perfectly.

Not always feeling okay.

But learning to be kind to yourself in the moments when you’re not.

If you’ve been having a heavy day too, please know you’re not alone.

Take things gently.

Give yourself a little space.

And come back to the small things that help you feel like you again 🤍

Lots of love,

Heather & Dave
